Injection – IM Shot

Arrive well hydrated and eat a light meal beforehand unless instructed otherwise. Wear clothing that allows easy access to the recommended injection site.

Your provider will confirm the ordered injection and review your health history, medications, allergies, current symptoms, and any previous reactions.

The medication or nutrient will be administered into the appropriate muscle using sterile, single-use equipment. The injection itself typically takes only a few moments.

You may be observed briefly after the injection. Mild soreness can occur, and you’ll receive guidance on aftercare and symptoms that should be reported to the clinic.
